ABOUT US
Our Story Begins With Compassion
Mary’s Place of Pittsburgh was founded to answer a call, one rooted in faith, dignity, and the belief that no mother should face pregnancy or early motherhood alone. In moments of crisis and uncertainty, Mary’s Place exists as a sanctuary where women and their babies are welcomed with compassion, respect, and hope.

Who We Are
Mary’s Place began with a shared pro life vision: to create a safe, faith-centered home for pregnant and parenting women who need stability, support, and guidance during one of life’s most vulnerable seasons.
Recognizing the gaps in housing and holistic care for mothers with newborns, our founders were moved by the conviction that life is sacred and that true support must extend beyond basic needs. From that conviction, Mary’s Place was formed not simply as a residence, but as a nurturing community grounded in Christ’s love.
Since its founding, Mary’s Place has grown into a home where women are empowered to heal, learn, and rebuild. Through structure, accountability, and grace, mothers are supported as they grow in confidence, strengthen their parenting skills, and prepare for independent living.

We affirm the dignity of every mother and child, upholding Christ’s command to love God and love our neighbor. Our work is guided by compassion, hope, and the belief that every life is a sacred gift. We stand with mothers in faith, for “Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promise to her.” (Luke 1:45)

Our Approach
At Mary’s Place, we support women as whole persons—mind, body, and spirit. Our residential program combines safe housing with individualized support, life-skills education, and spiritual nourishment.
Mothers participate in structured programming that fosters independence while building confidence, healthy routines, and meaningful relationships. Through mentorship, shared responsibilities, and faith-centered activities, women experience growth that extends far beyond their stay with us.
